To find out how to join and discover more about the club your first step is to send your contact details to the Club Secretary by clicking on the CONTACT tab in the menu bar at the top of the screen or send us an email at

You will then be contacted by a club member who will organise a mutually convenient date and time for you to undertake a trial walk. Trial walks are not conducted on club walk days as each of the clubs three groups walk at a different pace and cover differing distances. The trial walk is designed to assess your level of track fitness so you can be matched to a group with similar capabilities. The trial walk also provides an opportunity to meet some club members, ask questions and become more familiar with club procedures, requirements and protocols.

Prior to undertaking the trial walk you will be asked to sign a waiver absolving the Club or its walk leaders of responsibility for any personal injury or loss or damage to personal belongings during the conduct of the trial walk.

If, after the trial walk, you are invited to join a specific walk group and participate in club walks, you will be required to contribute to the clubs accident insurance policy. This can be done in two ways:

  1. You can become a club member and pay the annual subscription of $60 or $30 after January first, or,
  2. Complete an “Acknowledgement of Risks and Obligations of Temporary Members (Visitors)” form and pay $5 each time you walk with the club for up to three walks. (These forms are on hand on club walk days).

To contact us go to the CONTACT tab in the main menu bar at the top of the screen

Friends, partners and adult family members of members are welcome as visitors on club walks, with the proviso that the club member is responsible for their participation and wellbeing. The walk leader must be assured that the visitor is capable of undertaking the activity. A $5 insurance fee is payable for each walk.
